What’s a canyoneer?
Canyoneers are San Diego Natural History Museum volunteers trained to teach appreciation of plants and animals in southern California. When you hike with a Canyoneer, you are encouraged to stop, look, listen, touch, smell, and examine—to understand that everything is linked together. This is a great opportunity to experience nature without having to travel to far!
Be prepared! Wear comfortable walking shoes, a hat and water. You may also wish to bring a jacket, binoculars, and field guides.
