2026 Jog-A-Thon
Let’s keep the donations going! McKinley’s 2026 Jog-A-Thon race day is Thursday, October 22. Students have raised over $40,000 on PledgeStar so far (as of October 13), and we’re close to our $50,000 prize goal. Ask your relatives, friends, neighbors and community members to donate today!
Register Your Runner on PledgeStar
- Go to pledgestar.com/mckinley.
- Click “Not Registered for this Event?” and enter your name and email address. Every family needs to register again each year.
- Add your runner: just their name and their teacher/class.
PledgeStar emails sponsor requests for you, lets you know when someone donates, and sends thank-you messages.
Volunteer on Race Day: October 22
We love seeing all the folks who show up to cheer for our runners! Sign up to volunteer by bringing a shade tent or cooler, cutting oranges, staffing the medical tent, and many more ways.
- Lap markers must complete Category B volunteer clearance (volunteer form, TB test or risk assessment, and ID) and sign in at the office.
- All other volunteers need no clearance. Please enter through the Joint Use Park gates on Palm and do not enter the main campus.
ALL of McKinley’s art, ceramics, dance, Spanish and Smart Lab programs are no longer funded by the school district. The only reason our kids get to participate in these programs is because we raise the money to fund them.

Jog-A-Thon T-Shirt Design Contest: September 2 – September 11
From September 2 to September 11, students took part in a Jog-A-Thon t-shirt design contest. The winning design will be printed on all Jog-A-Thon t-shirts.
Participation is voluntary. Drawings are completed during class hours and must be done completely by the student. Parents and teachers may not help with the project.
Each class will vote for one winning picture to be submitted for their class. After the top designs across the school are selected, students will vote on the final winning design — every vote counts!
This year’s theme highlights the IB Learner Profile attribute Risk-Taker, encouraging students to work together and explore new ideas.
