Dear McKinley Families,
Welcome to a new school year at McKinley Elementary! My name is Maribel King, and I am honored to serve another year as the President of McKinley’s Parent Teacher Club (PTC). McKinley’s PTC orchestrates a wide range of activities and services to help supplement the funds our school is allocated by the government, advocate Parent & Teacher issues directly to our school board, and raise school spirit. Funds raised by the PTC are overseen by the McKinley School Foundation, a 503(c)3 nonprofit organization.
The PTC is comprised of parents, guardians, teachers, and community volunteers who raise funds to fill some of the gaps left by inadequate public funding and provide the resources needed for our students to receive the best possible educational experience.
Last year, with the help of McKinley families and community members, we were able to support many programs. This year, we plan to support all those, and more. Click here to view a list of programs we have supported in the past and plan to support for the 2018-19 school year.
All these are made possible by PTC volunteers—parents, guardians and community members—people just like you who care about a quality education. Please visit our How You Can Help page for information on how to get involved.
We hope you’ll join us by coming to any of our PTC Meetings to share your ideas and talents. In the meantime, you can receive information about upcoming events and activities by subscribing to our blog, mckinleyptc.org.
Please contact us anytime with questions or concerns. We look forward to working with you and serving our students this coming year!
Please join us for coffee and donuts near the entrance of the school tomorrow at 8:30 am!
Sincerely,
Maribel King
McKinley School Foundation President
