The results from the survey, along with opinions voiced during the September meeting, do not show sufficient interest to merit the funding of an after-school enrichment program while distance learning. As such, the PTC will await guidance from the district concerning the return to onsite instruction, along with school and staff recommendations, before considering any further enrichment options during the 2020/2021 school year.

We value your participation and input to help determine the programs that are funded by the McKinley PTC. We are thankful for the high levels of fundraising that were achieved last year which allowed the PTC to fund Spanish, Dance and Art lessons for McKinley students this year. In addition, we are pleased to share that McKinley PTC will cover the costs for D3 to maintain McKinley’s garden while the school is closed so that it is ready for students to learn and grow when we return to onsite instruction.

For families that are looking to expand their child/ren’s afternoons with worthwhile enrichment content, we invite you to take part in the online lessons that were provided by our valued enrichment vendors last spring, McKinley Art and Garden at McKinley.

McKinley is very lucky to have worked with many great organizations over the years. We encourage families to support D3, Zavoral Music Studios, as well as other favorite McKinley vendors that are offering enrichment this fall such as Soccer Kids America and Green Art Labs among many others. Check the ASE page for a list of past vendors.
