Dear McKinley Families,
Yesterday evening, the SDUSD School Board convened to propose a draft of student options for the 2020-2021 school year. This presentation is available for you to review here.
At the conclusion of this meeting, Board members voted to approve the proposal.
Two options are available to all families for the 2020-2021 school year:
- On-site learning
- Online learning with some voluntary on-site options
The District also shared that they will be sending a parent survey to all families later this week. Although I have not yet seen survey specifics, I anticipate it will be asking which of the two options you would select for your child(ren) at this point in time. This information would then be used to plan at both the site and district level.
I know we will all have additional questions as we move closer to the new school year. I will continue to communicate with families via our McKinley PTC webpage whenever new information is available.
I want to close with heartfelt thanks for the efforts of both our teachers and our parent population as we have worked our way through the COVID crisis.
With heartfelt appreciation,
Deb Ganderton
Principal
