Dear McKinley Student and Parents,

As you may know, Gina Honma (2nd grade McKinley Teacher) will be retiring at the end of this school year. Ms. Honma’s teaching career spans an impressive 33 years. Even more special, 30 of those years were spent at McKinley! McKinley would not currently be the amazing school it is today without the dedicated involvement of teachers like Gina Honma. To say Ms. Honma will be missed in the McKinley community is a HUGE understatement. Please join us in showing our appreciation for this beloved teacher and her dedication to our students over these past 3 decades.

If you and/or your student would like to write Ms. Honma a letter, share a memory, create a drawing, etc. please send your notes of best wishes to Kristen Peairs (2nd grade parent Ms. Honma’s room parent) kristenjeanne@gmail.com. You can either:

– send a picture via email
– arrange to drop off the original to Kristen’s house.

Please drop off or email your notes by Sunday, June 7. We will be compiling these notes to give to Ms. Honma at the end of the school year.

Thanks in advance for all your help in making sure Ms. Honma gets the send-off she deserves regardless of the way her last year of teaching ended.
