Teaching has always been a collaborative effort involving teachers, school staff, parents and legal guardians, and the children we love. This is especially true as we transition to distance learning. During this unprecedented time, many in our community are being impacted in ways unimaginable. However, our McKinley community is strong, it is resilient, and we will get through this together.

The McKinley School Foundation understands that the transition to distance learning will be difficult for many households. To help our students succeed in a new learning environment, the McKinley School Foundation will provide $100 Distance Learning Scholarships to students in eligible families.

To be eligible for a $100 Distance Learning Scholarship, a student must meet the following criteria. Please note that if a family has multiple McKinley students, the family will be eligible for one (1) Distance Learning Scholarship.

1. The student is currently enrolled at McKinley Elementary School; and
2. The student currently participates in the Free and Reduced-Price Lunch Program; and
3. The student either:

  • Has a parent or legal guardian who has been diagnosed with COVID-19 or
  • Has a parent or legal guardian who is currently totally or partially unemployed as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic

Application Process:
To apply, please submit an online application.

We respect the privacy of all of our McKinley Elementary community. The information submitted in the application will only be reviewed for the purposes of determining whether a student meets the eligibility requirement and will not be shared beyond the Foundation.
