In January 2008, “The Octopus Garden” mural was added to our garden. Thanks to A Reason to Survive or ARTS and local artists, Betsy Schultz, our 2nd graders were able to participate in creating clay fish and letters to come together in this colorful mural. The words that are interwoven throughout the mural come from the IB Program themes that are taught in our curriculum.

Over the course of a weekend, students, parents and school staff created the mural. Check out this article that was published in the Union Tribune Newspaper.
