This past Sunday we had our second beach clean up and it was extremely successful! Thank you to the 30+ families that helped clean up our San Diego beaches.
This project was developed by our student council members as part of a grant from the PTC for a student led action project. Our student council members developed ideas, presented to classes, and then ALL students on campus voted on how we would spend this grant money and take action as students!!
Since the beach clean up did not cost us a lot of money, we will also be donating brand new bunk beds and kitchen supplies to Humble Design, a non-profit in San Diego who custom design and fully furnish home interiors for individuals, families and veterans emerging from homelessness.
