SoNo Fest & Chili Cook-Off usually takes place on the first Sunday in December. It is a major street festival and fundraiser that takes place on the corner of 32nd & Thorn. Naturally, due to the ongoing pandemic, there is no way an event of this type could take place this year.
A campaign is underway to raise funds that will support McKinley and the 37 generous and long time supporting restaurants this year by selling signature San Diego Ceramic Connection bowls, SoNo Fest 2020 t-shirts, and a cookbook.
You can still have a great chili experience, but safely at home, by going to the SoNo Fest Chili Cook-off site to:
- Make a donation
- Shop local for holiday gifts (click on the many vendor, restaurant, and booze images)
- and enter a few contests!
We know it does not come close to what it feels like to be at SoNo Fest, but we still need volunteers, believe it or not! Volunteers are needed to help with purchase distributions starting on December 5th. Please use the signup to take a shift

Make sure to LIKE / COMMENT / SHARE! We want the most possible $$ to go back to the 37 generous, and long time supporting restaurants, and the school. We need each one of you to help spread the word about this virtual event.
