McKinley Families,

We are aware of the mandate from the State of California prohibiting gatherings of 250 or more people to slow the continued spread of Covid-19.
We anticipate we will receive additional information from our School Board and Superintendent later this afternoon, but we have made a site decision to cancel our Variety Show which was scheduled for this evening at Lincoln High School.
We understand many will be disappointed, as are we. The Variety Show takes months to plan and we thank the Committee, the volunteers, and the parents who have rehearsed with their children for weeks. Our site decision supports our collective commitment to keep our children, our families and our community safe and we are hopeful we will be able to reschedule the performance prior to the end of our school year.

All tickets will be refunded in full by Brown Paper Tickets. Additional information regarding refunds is available on the McKinley PTC website.

I anticipate you will be receiving multiple communications from us in the next few days. Although we attempt to be mindful of over communicating and inundating families with phone calls, it is critical that you take the time to listen to these messages and remain informed.

Please follow the guidelines and recommendations of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and let’s all do our part to keep our community safe. News and information related to Covid-19 from the CDC can be found here: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/index.html.
