Hello McKinley Families! It’s time to start looking ahead to our Girls on the Run Fall 2019 season! Our team is open to girls in 3rd – 5th grade. Practices will run from 3:15 – 4:30 pm Mondays AND Wednesdays after school from mid-September through early December. The GOTR 5K is scheduled for Sunday, December 8th at Crown Point Park.
Registration has NOT yet begun for the fall season. At this point in time, I am reaching out to see if there is any interest in becoming a head coach or assistant coach for our team this fall. Returning coaches who have already completed the National Coach Training (Fall 2016 and later) do NOT need to attend new coach training but may be assigned a short online module or be invited to the GOTR returning coach retreat. New coaches will be required to attend a one-day coach training and head coaches will also need to be certified in CPR/first aid. (If you need CPR/First Aid training GOTR will provide an opportunity for you to complete that requirement. )
