Please contact the ASE Program Team with any questions.
When is ASE?
The McKinley Parent Teacher Club offers a variety of After School Enrichment opportunities on Thursday afternoons. Classes are one hour long, starting at 12:20 pm and will be offered in 2 periods.
Who Can Participate?
Students participating in Prime Time & Character Builders are welcome; however, those that are enrolled in after-school tutoring may not always be able to join. (The after school Spanish Language Program is run independent of this program.)
What Classes Are Offered?
At McKinley, the PTC has elected to form a committee of parents to curate, administer, and coordinate the program so that we can streamline the enrollment process and in some cases, negotiate preferred pricing. The McKinley Foundation provides scholarships and in some cases subsidizes more expensive courses that we feel are of high value to our students. Our goal is to make this program accessible to as many of our students as possible.
Site Volunteers
If you have availability most Thursdays between 12:15-1:30 pm or 2:00 pm, and work well with young children, we’d love to have you join the team. Site volunteers escort the TK-1st grade students, assist instructors in classes, take attendance, answer questions, and even socialize a little between periods. SDUSD screening requirements apply. If this sounds like you, please send an email to the ASE Program Team, subject line “Volunteering.”
