Betsey  President Betsey Zbyszynski is in the clinical research industry and has played an integral part in many FDA approvals for prescription medications.  In her current role at a local clinical research organization, Betsey is responsible for generating and maintaining new business, as well as proposal and budget preparation and tracking. Since her son started kindergarten at McKinley two years ago, Betsey has been very active in the McKinley Parent/Teacher Club (PTC) and is now PTC President.  She has been Room Parent, and often volunteers in the classroom.  Betsey is on a number of McKinley committees, and volunteers her time on school fundraising events. Betsey enjoys spending time with her family and helps coordinate her son’s sports teams’ schedules and activities.

Treasurer Elizabeth Koumas has more than 25 years’ experience as an attorney in the private legal sector, focusing on employment law and business matters.  In 2016, Elizabeth began a side bookkeeping business for solo practitioners and small businesses.  Her 10 years of self-employment bookkeeping, coupled with her accounting degree has served her well to number-crunch for McKinley.  Elizabeth is a single-mother-by choice to her only son (Austin), who “choiced” into McKinley in 2013, when he entered Kindergarten.  In her spare time, you can find Elizabeth enjoying the outdoors, watching her son play sports, and traveling with her family & friends. 

Secretary Alycia Leslie is an operations analyst with the US Navy. She travels often around the world supporting Naval operations. Her husband, Theo, is a near constant McKinley volunteer working in the classrooms, After School Enrichment, and running club (returning soon). She has a fifth and third grader at McKinley. In her free time she enjoys geeking out with her family and playing video games.

Grant FerrierGrant Ferrier is editor of Environmental Business Journal and CEO of Nutrition Capital Network, an entity that connects entrepreneurs and investors in the health & wellness industry. Grant founded and manages the beloved McKinley Theatre Club that produces a full theatrical production every year with 70-80 kids performing crowd-pleasing favorites such as The Wizard of Oz and Jungle Book. He also maintains the school garden and directs its education programs, as well as sits on the board of the McKinley Foundation. Grant resides in North Park in San Diego with his wife and three children and is an accomplished gardener, puppeteer, cartoonist, author, soccer player and Scottish dancer.

Jim Sakrison was born and raised in Tucson AZ.  He moved to San Diego in 1999 after graduating from the University of Colorado with a degree in Spanish.  In 2003, Jim and his wife Polina moved to North Park and have been here since.  They love the community and are proud to have their 2 boys, Jack and Alexander, at McKinley.  Jim has been working as a Mortgage Advisor for the past 16 years and his office is located in North Park as well.  In his free time when not hanging with the family he likes to ride bicycles, go snowboarding, spin records and play ping pong.
