What is the Gala / Casino Night?
McKinley Elementary’s 6th Annual Spring Gala is an amazing night for McKinley families, friends and the North Park Community to raise funds for McKinley School. This year’s theme is “Luau!” Wear your craziest Hawaiian shirt, grass skirts, and prepare to have fun and raise money for this amazing school!

When is it?
Saturday, April 30th from 6pm to 10:30pm
Where is it?
Queen Bee’s Art and Cultural Center
3925 Ohio Street, San Diego, CA 92104 – right in the heart of North Park!
How much is admission and what does it include?
Admission is $35 per person if you buy your tickets before the event.
What will we do there?
Drink, Dance, Eat, Bid, Gamble! Or just hang out and socialize with McKinley friends and teachers. We hire a Casino Company with Black Jack tables, Roulette and Craps. In addition, there will be a cash bar offering beer, wine and our signature cocktail.
You will be able to bid on student art and silent auction items.
Delicious food provided by Chris’ Ono Grinds Island Grill!
Can I win real money at the Casino?
No, but you can win fabulous prizes. There will be prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners.
What will we do with the money that is raised?
All profits will go straight to McKinley! We will use the money raised to fund our art, music, garden, IB and technology programs.
Will there be music?
Yes, a live band and DJ
Can anyone come?
Yes! As long as they are 21 and up, bring your family, friends and neighbors!
What if I want to make a donation, or know someone with a business or just volunteer?
We are still looking for donations! Both monetary to underwrite the event, or items for the silent auction are welcome. Please contact Maribel King at maribelaking@gmail.com for more information. We’d also love more volunteers to help us with the event!
