What is the Gala / Casino Night?
McKinley’s 5th Annual Gala / Casino Night is an amazing night for McKinley families, friends and the North Park Community to raise funds for McKinley School. This years theme is “ Masquerade!” Think masks, costumes, feathers, Carnival, and lots of fun!
When is it?
Saturday, May 2nd from 6pm to 10:30pm
Where is it?
Queen Bee’s Art and Cultural Center
3925 Ohio Street, San Diego, CA 92104 – right in the heart of North Park!
How much is admission and what does it include?
Admission is $30 per person if you buy your tickets before the event.

There are no actual tickets issued. When you pay your name and guests names will be put on the VIP list to check in upon arrival at the event. Admission includes food, one specialty drink and $100 in play money for the Casino. You will also have a chance to bid on the silent auction items and win surprise gifts! You can pay to get on the VIP list via the PTC website (http://mckinleyptc.com/events/mckinley-casino-royale/) using your paypal account starting March 1st, or return an order form to the office with your payment. Order forms will go home in early March in Wednesday Papers and will also be available in the office. Space is limited, so get your tickets early! If there is space available, tickets will be sold at the door for $40.
What will we do there?
Drink, Dance, Eat, Bid, Gamble! Or just hang out and socialize with McKinley friends and teachers. We hire a Casino Company with Black Jack tables, Roulette and Craps. In addition, there will be a cash bar offering beer, wine and our signature cocktail.
Can I win real money at the Casino?
No, but you can win fabulous prizes. There will be prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners. “Like” our Facebook page (facebook.com/McKinleyCasinoRoyale) for prize announcements and to gain access to a special bonus codes.
What will we do with the money that is raised?
All profits will go straight to McKinley! We will use the money raised to fund our art, music, garden, IB and technology programs.
Will there be music?
Yes, a live band and DJ
Can anyone come?
Yes! As long as they are 21 and up, bring your family, friends and neighbors!
What if I want to make a donation, or know someone with a business or just volunteer?
We are still looking for donations! Both monetary to underwrite the event, or items for the silent auction are welcome. Please contact Maribel King at maribelaking@gmail.com for more information. We’d also love more volunteers to help us with the event!

Also…online bidding has opened! Yes, online bidding for classroom art projects! So far we have 9 awesome items ready to be bid on. More items will be added later in the week and in a couple of weeks, we will be adding Teacher Auctions as well. So check back often!
This is our first year having this option and we hope it opens the bidding to additional McKinley families as well as extended family and friends of the community. Getting Started:
1. Enter http://www.BIDDINGOWL.com into your browser’s address field. (or click here)
1. Click on BIDDER SIGN UP or the GEAR to sign up or sign into your account.
2. Once signed in, click on the MENU button in the left hand corner of the screen.
3. Click AUCTIONS and select your non-profit organization.
Bidding:
1. Browse the Categories in your non-profit’s auction. 2. Select the item you like to bid on.
3. Enter correct BID AMOUNT into the field provided. 4. Click BID and CONFIRM bid.
5. Congratulations, you are the High Bidder for the item!
Good to Know:
Click on the GEAR to access your ACCOUNT.
In order to receive TEXT MESSAGE NOTIFICATIONS, enter your telephone number and cell phone carrier under ACCOUNT DETAILS. You will receive Text messages when you’ve been outbid.
Quickly find your LOW BID items by checking the red RECENTLY OUT BID link.
View your BID STATUS and BID HISTORY by clicking on MY BIDS. CHECKOUT: Click on MY BIDS. Only Items that you’ve WON can be checked out. Click on the item and follow the instructions on the screen.
