Contact: psteckbeck@sandi.netI have been working as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in the public school system for 26 years and have loved every minute of it! I began in National School District as a Communicatively Handicapped Classroom Teacher and later became an Itinerant SLP with San Diego Unified School District. I have worked at McKinley Elementary for the last 22 years.
I was born and raised in San Diego and grew up in the North Park area (two blocks from McKinley). I attended kindergarten at McKinley many years ago and loved it back then as much as I love it today. My parents still live in the house I grew up in on Boundary Street and I stop by to see them daily. North Park is a great neighborhood!
I currently live in Tierrasanta with my husband, Jim, and my two sons, Steve and Jamie. I enjoy working with all of the students at McKinley whether it is in small group sessions or classroom lessons. It is a wonderful community of learners!
