Previously: (2014) The City of San Diego Park and Recreation Board approved the General Development Plan for the Joint Use Park at McKinley. This is a great victory after YEARS of hard work by parents, staff, and our amazing community to create a plan that balances the needs of the students and community as well as providing TREES and a large natural turf area for all to enjoy!
A joint-use park provides a number of improvements to the school grounds as well as making the southern end of the campus a city park that is open to neighbors after-school and on the weekends. The project makes a positive impact on the school and the neighborhood community.
