McKinley Festival of Books
The Book Fair is returning this May! Join us for fun-filled reading events this Spring.
March 20th READ-A-THON
Students are encouraged to read over spring break and come back to school ready to tally their books on a classroom GOAL THERMOMETER. We will have a school-wide Thermometer tallying all classroom progress as well. The read-a-thon will end April 10th with the kick off of “One Book, One McKinley”.
April 10th ONE BOOK, ONE MCKINLEY
“Dreamers” by Yuyi Morales
“Ban This Book” by Alan Gratz (Upper grades)
Students have an opportunity to create work inspired by the book. Those works will be displayed in the library the week of the book fair.
May 22nd – 26th BOOK FAIR
Join us in the library this week where student work will be on display surrounded by your favorite book characters! Book Fair will be open during the Spring Open House on May 25th for parents/guardians to attend.
