The countdown is on! Community Chili is this Saturday, December 3 from 1:00-4:00pm!
We hope you will join us for McKinley Elementary’s fundraiser and local tradition since 1996 where friends and neighbors of SDCC and McKinley gather to buy handmade ceramic chili bowls and share, taste, and vote for the best neighborhood chili. There will be prizes for the winners, including the chance to judge SoNo Fest restaurant chili the next day on Sunday, December 4.
This year’s categories will be: Best Overall, Best Vegan/Vegetarian, and Most Unique.
Stop by SDCC to buy your ceramic bowl and then come out back and fill it with delicious neighborhood chili.
If you would like to be a participant in the community chili contest, please sign up here.
Please plan to bring a crock pot of your best chili or cornbread, any garnish you would like, and a ladle or spoon to serve your chili with. We will provide spoons and napkins.
