What an honor it is to be chosen as the next Principal of McKinley Elementary! I know well that McKinley is a special place. Teachers are of the highest caliber, the school staff is friendly and professional, the students are amazing, and the community is incredibly engaged and supportive. I am thrilled to be part of this school.
A bit about me- I was raised here in San Diego and have lived in the North Park community with my wife and two sons for the past 11 years. Professionally, besides teaching in Chile for a few years, I worked in the Chula Vista Elementary School District as a classroom teacher, a district resource teacher, associate principal, and principal. I am excited to transition to the San Diego Unified School District and serve as the Principal at McKinley.
Teaching and learning are my passions. As an educational leader, I strive to work in
partnership with teachers to ensure that every student is successful both socially and
academically. I am dedicated to providing the highest quality education while maintaining a warm and welcoming environment for students to thrive.
I cannot wait to meet the McKinley students, staff, and families. I hope that you all have a
fantastic summer and look forward to meeting you in August.
