A major portion of the funds raised by the McKinley PTC is geared towards enriching the IB curriculum offered at McKinley.
Throughout the year, McKinley students take lessons in Spanish, Art, Ceramics, Dance, and Garden. McKinley is fortunate to have great community partners for the enrichment classes and they have all been providing lessons online.
For most, if not all of us, the transition to Distance Learning was a challenge, and the number of resources available was overwhelming. With only four weeks to go, and as distance learning becomes less challenging, we are taking this opportunity to let families know about the enrichment lessons they may have missed at the onset. These lessons make great family activities and are available at your convenience:
- Check your online classroom for the Spanish, Garden, and Dance lessons.
- The Art lessons from Ms. Barbara Smith can be accessed through the McKinley PTC Site
- McKinley’s Ceramics instructor, Ms. Isabella Gallo, created 3D Art Lessons specifically for McKinley students. Use any materials you have at home and have fun creating!
