Registration for the 2019-2020 school year begins on Monday, August 12th to Friday, August 16th from 11:30 am – 3:30 pm in the Main Office.
The Registration process is only for new students enrolling at McKinley Elementary. This would be new students registering for transitional kindergarten, kindergarten, any students new to the district, from out of state or from out of the country.
Returning McKinley students do not need to Re-Register!
For new incoming families, we want to ensure your children are registered and enrolled in their class prior to the First Day of School on Monday, August 26th. It is important to have all the required documentation in order to register. Registration can take up to an hour.
Don’t delay registering until the first day of school.
The first day of school is wonderful and chaotic. We want students to have a stress free first day and want families to avoid having to stand in line and experience a longer wait time. If you are not able to register during registration hours, do call the office and we can schedule an appointment.
TK Eligibility
Your child is eligible for TK if their 5th birthday occurs between September 2nd 2019 and December 2nd 2019. TK enrollment is for the academic year and students that turn five after December 2nd 2019 will become eligible for Kindergarten the following academic year 2020-2021.
Kindergarten Eligibility
Your child is eligible for Kindergarten if their 5th birthday is on or before September 1st, 2019.
1st to 5th Grade Registration
All verification of proof of address and the documentation listed below is required along with a current transcript/report card from the previous school.

Follow the link and enter your address. The address of the parent(s)/guardian(s)must reside in the McKinley school boundary. If you DO NOT reside in the McKinley school boundary, you will need to contact your neighborhood school for their registration hours and information.

Before given an enrollment packet you will need to bring the following documentation for our office staff to verify and copy:
- Current Proof of Address. In the name of the parent(s)/guardian(s) enrolling the child and living in the same household within the McKinley neighborhood boundary.
- July or August 2019 monthly utility bill-gas/electric/phone/internet media provider, Rental agreement with three months rental receipts/military housing orders/mortgage
- Original or Copy of birth certificate, baptismal certificate or passport (for students entering transitional kindergarten or kindergarten;students from out of district/state/country)
- Immunizations Record
- IEP – Individualized Education Program (Most Current)
- Other important documentation the school will need on file (such as court and custody judgments)
As per State Requirements TK/Kinder students are NOT able to be enrolled unless we receive all the current and up to date Immunizations Record. This is also applies for any students registering from out of district, out of state or out of the country.
