Registration for Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten will begin on Thursday, February 21st and every Thursday to May 30th from 9am to 3:30pm.
TK Eligibility Your child is eligible for TK if their 5th birthday occurs between September 2, 2018, and December 2, 2019. TK enrollment is for the academic year and students that turn five after December 2nd will become eligible for Kindergarten the following academic year 2020-21.
Kindergarten Eligibility Your child is eligible for Kindergarten if their 5th birthday is on or before September 1, 2019.
1st to 5th Grade Enrollment All verification of proof of address and the documentation listed below is required along with a current transcript/report card from the previous school.
- Verify Your Home Address The first step for registration is to verify that you live in the McKinley school boundary. The link below will direct you to enter your home address based on your current monthly bill in the name of one of the parents or guardians. Once you enter your address, you will see the schools that are your neighborhood schools. If you do not reside in the McKinley school boundary, you will need to contact your neighborhood school for their registration information.
Once you have verified that you live in the McKinley school boundary, you will need to bring the following documentation for our office staff to verify and copy before given an enrollment packet.
1. Proof of Address
In the name of the parent(s)/guardian(s) enrolling the child and living in the same household within the McKinley neighborhood boundary
- February, March, April or May monthly utility bill-gas/electric/phone/internet media provider
- Rental agreement with three months rental receipts/military housing orders/mortgage
2. Birth Certificate
3. Immunization Records (All Current-See the Enrollment Requirements link below for details)
4. IEP (Most Current)
We ask that you allow about an hour for the registration process from verification of your documents to filling out the enrollment packet. All documentation must be provided altogether, including all immunization documents, in order to enroll your child.
