Come to the January 30 PTC Meeting to hear about how McKinley can take the annual “Pennies for Patients” program beyond fundraising for a cause. The San Diego Campaign Manager for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Student Series will discuss the proposal to introduce a student assembly and a new STEM curriculum about researching cures for blood cancer.
Since 2007, McKinley Kids have raised almost $34,000 for “Pennies for Patients!!”
Beyond the funds that McKinley Kids collect for LLS, they get involved in a charitable activity, promoting the IB Learner Profile qualities, specifically Caring.
