The California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP), which includes the Smarter Balanced assessments for English language arts (ELA) and mathematics, along with the California Science Test (CAST) for 5th graders, will begin Monday, April 23rd and will conclude the end of May. Only grades three to five will be tested as part of the state mandated requirement. Teachers will be preparing students for testing with tools and practice tests. Attendance is crucial and it is important that your children arrive to school on time at 8:20am as most grade level testing will begin promptly by 8:30am. Testing will mainly be conducted in the morning up to about Noon. We ask that you review the grade level testing schedule below.
4th Grade Monday, April 23-Friday, April 27th

5th Grade Monday, April 30-Friday, May 11th & CAST May 31th
(Two Weeks)
3rd Grade Monday, May 14-May, 25th
(Two Weeks/Fridays No Testing)
If for any reason your child will be unable to participate in testing, contact the office as soon as possible and a week before the grade level testing window.
