Joint Use Park Update –

Good news – Ribbon Cutting Ceremony is scheduled for Tuesday, May 23rd at 10:00 am. Please feel free to join us!

Gotta be patient news – Unfortunately, we will not be able to use the grass field until the city takes possession from the district. We don’t have a time line for this at this point in time, but will keep everyone posted.

Until the park transfer occurs, students will be able to use the full blacktop, but will remain off the grass field.

We will also be opening up an access point to campus each morning. You can now drop off your children at the Palm Street entrance. A staff member will be on duty at 8:10 each morning. Gate will be locked promptly at 8:25.

Everyone’s patience and understanding is appreciated.

  1. Principal Ganderton, will dogs be allowed on campus/park? I hope not. As it is, there is already a problem with pet feces around the perimeter of McKinley’s campus. It would be awful if kids step on some feces and track it into their classrooms. I hope the policy will be clearly posted.

    1. Dogs are not allowed on the new field. Signs have been ordered to remind visitors.
