photoWe need a little more help  to finish our Mosaic Mural – Rob Tobin, the artist will be back at school Wednesday morning to grout the mural.  He needs a few volunteers to help with this effort.  He thinks if he gets a few helpers it will only take 4 hours – even if you can only volunteer for an hour or two we’d love your help.  Staggering volunteers would be great!  If you can volunteer this Wednesday morning, please email Jen Spencer.  This is your opportunity to invest in art that will part of the community for years to come!

Thanks so much!!!

Please feel free to pass onto anyone who might be interested!

Summary of this Weekend’s Work:
Thanks for all who volunteered and help us install our new Tree Mosaic Mural!  The efforts were lead by artist, Rob Tobin, who also facilitated the mosaic murals in our garden area.  The $1,588.00 to fund the project were raised through the Donor’s Choose website (http://www.donorschoose.org) which was set up and coordinated by second grade teacher, Mrs. Zdunich.  We want to thank all those who donated to fund the project and all those who volunteered their time to install the mosaics!  They worked a full day on Saturday, May 31st from 8-6 and then again on Sunday, June 1st from 9-2:30.  The tiling took a little longer than expected so the grouting – which was originally slated for Sunday – will be rescheduled for Wednesday, June 4th starting at 9 am. Once the grout has dried, Rob will return once again, to do some additional painting and add his finishing touches to the installation.
