Roots & Shoots is a free organization started by Jane Goodall. This program aims to make positive change in our communities fostered by youth driven service projects.
McKinley Roots & Shoots will be starting our first community project by partnering with Lexington Elementary in El Cajon (an extremely impoverished community) and the San Diego Rescue Mission. We will be collecting clothing, shoes, jackets for sizes infant to adult and delivering them directly to the families in need. Please place all donated items in the tub in the school lobby. It will be emptied twice a month. (Click here for more information.) This club is best suited for children in grades 2-5.
